Folded corner quilt blocks create a visual effect of depth and dimension by using different shades of the same color. The four corners of each rectangle look like they are folded over the center, giving the block its name. This simple quilt square consists of nine patches, including half square triangles and a flying swan patch. These are common elements in many quilting designs.
